Rules & guidelines for Members
#1
The modified and more detailed guild rules for members are as follows:-

Loot Policy

For instances, we will generally click 'greed' if do not need it. "Need" is only chosen when the player really need it for his own gear and not for his alternate characters / selling. Before choosing "need", please ask in party chat whether you can click need. Once everyone agrees, go ahead to choose need.

For cases where no one needs it and everyone is "greed", the enchanter should choose "need" so that she can disenchant. Everyone will then roll (type /roll) to choose who will get the item disenchanted.

For raid, dkp system will apply (with some exceptions). Please see further details at guild annoucement section.

Code of Conduct
Regardless of your rank in the guild, Shield of Leonidas has made a name for itself by being a guild filled with good people. We have earned the respect of the server by showing respect to others (even those who ordinarily may not deserve or return such respect). We place high value on honor in this guild, which means treating your fellow players with respect, whether in game or on any public forums. Your actions reflect upon the entire guild, and any misconduct or disrespect of fellow players will not be tolerated. We want to establish and maintain a reputation for being a quality guild, full of helpful and active members who are an excellent addition to any group or party... do your best to live up to these expectations.

The following are not tolerated and may result in disciplinary action or immediate removal.

1.Racism, sexism, bigotry or promotion of real-life violence towards another person. This includes using slurs based on race, color, creed, sex, or sexual identity.
2.Harassment of fellow players, whether in guild or not. It is up to you to be the bigger person and remember this is just a game. If another person is harassing you, use the appropriate channels (ignore them, report them to an officer, report them to a GM). Striking back usually just results in you getting banned, not them.
3.Unethical playing. Those caught using exploits, hacking, ninja-ing, begging for gold, intentionally wiping a group, intentionally poaching people to another guild or otherwise playing unethically will be removed.
4.Spamming. Whether in general chat, guild chat, yells, ventrilo, whereever, spamming is annoying and is meant to disrupt the normal flow of conversation. Don't do it.
Remember, that guild tag over your head makes each of you a representative of Shield of Leonidas. Act the way you want our guild to be remembered.

Disputes
No matter how much everyone gets along, arguments are bound to occur. These should not occur in Guild Chat or Raid Chat, however. Reserve your arguments for whispers and contact our officers if you need further resolution.

Also, from time to time, you may question a policy or procedure that we have in place, and maybe have a thoughtful argument for a better policy. These are encouraged, but should be done on the forums or private chat with officer / GM. Guild Chat and Raid Chat are not the places for such discussions.

Finally, negative behavior is frowned upon and may be punishable through disciplinary action and or removal from the guild. This includes voicing distaste for the guild as a whole and/or guild members, as well as complaining about guild activities/policies/general way of conducting itself.

Inactivity
We want our players to be active. Therefore, we do require that you sign on at least once a week, if only to pop in and say hello. Players who are inactive for longer than 30 days may be designated to “inactive rank” or be removed at any time. If you know you need a leave of absence, let an officer know and we can grant you extra time. We don't want to remove good players because they can't play for a period of time, but at the same time we don't want our member list cluttered with abandoned characters either. Remember, if you're removed for inactivity, we'll likely reinvite you when you get back.

The "No Drama" Clause
We want the game to be enjoyable for everyone, and we want being part of <Shield of Leonidas> to be a pleasant and rewarding experience. As such, we are implementing a "No Drama" clause. We have a Zero Tolerance policy with drama. There are sufficient avenues for outlet of frustration (such as these forums, tells to officers, logging off, etc.) that there is no excuse for causing drama or participating in drama, whether internal to the guild or external. If such an occurance should occur, this is what will happen:

1.An officer will investigate the issue.
2.If you are found to be the source of the drama, you will be asked to leave the guild, regardless of the legitimacy of the reason the drama started. Keep this in mind. You must keep yourself in check... it doesn't matter if you're "right" or "wrong"... if you start drama you're out.
3.Depending upon the severity of the issue, all participants may face guild repercussions, be it a temporary suspension of guild participation privileges, loss of guild rank, removal of guild chat, or removal from the guild.

We take this very seriously, as should you.
